Just spotted an advert for an auction house.  Among the items being auctioned is a poster advertising a Limited Cafeteria Excursion trip to Swansea for town's match there.  21/6d!!  £1.7p!!  Sadly although it gives the date it does not give the year but after leaving Swindon it was picking up at Wootton Bassett so possibly early 1960s.  I used to lvoe those footy specials but was definitely not on that one. There used to a poster for that game in the old Railway Museum in Faringdon Road....wonder if it's the same one? Back then they were Swansea Town.

Swindon station was a mess in the 60's.... the tunnel under the tracks noted for dripping water, forming stalactites.
