I really don't see the value in taking into account recent form against other teams, the nature of lower league squads is that they vary greatly from season to season.

The teams we put out vs. any of those teams will be very different to the teams we fielded last season, the same will go for them.

Logic would say so, but I'm sure you like me have been to STFC graveyards where we've looked to have a decent side, coming up against what looked a lesser outfit and then we lose.  As Audrey points out Cheltnumb being the classic example.  Another that defies logic is the Kassam, where we're yet to as much as score a goal.

The daddy is Priestfield... 1 win in 36 attempts. Explain that with logic.

Of yeah of course but I don’t believe that any result is linked to what happened in the corresponding fixture in a previous season.

Each game is standalone, our chances of getting a result from that game this coming season isn’t affected in the slightest by our recent record there

Perhaps only in some quantum multiverse world, are current results affected by previous results, nevertheless you can spot trends from previous results, and for us, the most obvious is that we've been achieving lower league positions for 4 or more years now.

Now this is because we find it difficult to win games, or avoid defeat when a point could be handy. This will need to change, maybe it will this season, it's the challenge that Wellens has got.  It isn't going to be easy...

Don't worry, I think the vast majority of us can spot trends.....

I though they were joking when they said the Carabao cup draw was being done in Morrisons.

Going back to the Biscuitmen (spolling), did Robin Friday ever play in a game against us whilst playing for them.

Yep twice, in 74 in the FA cup and in 76 in the league, he never scored in either game.
