Has the gloss of discovering when we play Grimsby away or our local derby with FGM is worn off yet?

Surely home on Boxing Day

Only game I'm desperately looking out for is Orient away - 15 mins from my front door. Any Saturday would be grand.

Plymouth will travel here in numbers and it would be good to get the Gas home or away in the Caribou cup

What date is the first game of the season?

I am in Carlisle in August so could coincide with that possibly, otherwise home 1st game of the seaosn and home Boxing Day for a change would be good.

I would guess 1st game is home to Orient, Boxing Day away at Plymouth.

1st Round of Carry Ons Cup will be Brentford or QPR home.

This is the Carabao Cup draw that's happening in a North London Morrisons right?

One of the more bizarre things I've read this season.

Us getting through R1 would be bizarre, our failure to do so recently has pretty much coincided with the having to rebuild each season policy under Power.  Last season a classic... celebrate the 50th  anniversary of winning the thing, with a fairly incompetent performance v  FGR.  At least Wellens seems to have largely got his squad ready for the start of pre season, which offers some hope, assuming a kind draw.

I agree with you on this. About time we stormed the cup competitions and reached round two.

Although the fixtures are ‘published’ tomorrow, do the clubs actually get them a day or two early?

They do a dry run the day before and then the actual ones on the day after they have jigged them around so for example rovers and city are not both at home.

I’m sorry? A dry run the day before? Who the clubs or the EFL? If the latter then I would have thought in all honesty that they would know well in advance with computer technology and programming algorithms. They ought to allow any fixture faux pas like two same town clubs being at home on the same day kind of thing surely? Not having a pop at your reply in any way but I would thought that if the clubs get them in advance or even on the day that any discrepancies would have ironed out. Then again we are talking about the football governing body.
