There isn't a place called Fylde...more an area.... the FC was formed in 1988 from amalgamating KIrkham Town and Wesham.... the club is in Wesham, never heard of either until 5 mins ago... so now want them up.

Only became AFC Fylde in 2008, prior to which they were  Kirkham & Wesham FC, changed name after they won the FA Vase, when coincidentally a lad I worked with played for them.

On a similar basis I ended up having a pint in the pub the other week with the guy who made the  record number of appearances for Barrow including scoring at wenbley, no idea who is he/was but my Fatherin Law plays golf with him now!

Fylde is a tidy little ground, new build and small capacity of 6k but nice.

3 stands when I went there not sure if they have built the 4th yet.

The owner has a lot of spare cash and is investing it into the team and ground.

Once saw us win at Cheltenham. Friendly circa ‘87 with Hockaday bagging the only goal. Seem to remember storm clouds gathering in the second half to darken the early August Gloucestershire skies.

I think its the sign of a supportive Council as not really sure how they got planning permission for it?

on the 0900 from Paddington tomorrow morning. Looking forward to it, apart from the 90 mins in the middle.

Years ago there was a boozer over the road from the station that did 2 pints, a burger and minibus to the ground for £10. Anyone seen anything to suggest they're doing it again?

The Midland is back open again, it only shut for a short time.

Anyone know if we can buy on the gate tomorrow?

Oh, right. Sorry. It was boarded up and looking ready for demolition when I last went past it. Probably at the time of our last game there.

According to this, there’s no pay on the day, which seems a bit OTT!

Pre match pop up Festival of Piss Art in The Moon Under Water.

This is it then. In Scotland they have Helicopter Sunday.
Today it's Muck Spreader Saturday as we try and win the Wilts/Glos/Somerset mini league.
The Fertloizer Trophy is up for grabs plus a sponsored Teage Titan for each of the winning squad. Will look great behind the SUV, rear discharge of course.

Can picture the team sauntering out for the warm up with beach towels & flip flops.
Hope that's not the case as this game does matter.

We will destroy them 4-0, then capitulate at home to an already in mourning Notts County to end the season in suitably bafflingly inconsistent fashion

Chatting to mate last night, who supports another club... who did that, his mob scored after 4 mins, and he couldn't help himself.... thrown out by stewards. You should be OK then...
