So, another cultural voyage around the provincial backwaters of the country comes to an end.
Looking forward to a lie in on Saturday mornings. No more 06:12 trains out of Swindon.
Hopefully the AAA Hope Springs Eternal batteries can recharge over the summer.
More importantly the 2018-19 lucky grundies can finally be removed after 10 months of continuous wear. Free to a good home, anyone?

The chants of “Phil Brown, we want you to stay” at the end of last season are now a memory that was only retrieved through regression therapy.
It’s been a disappointing season, but at the same time, more enjoyable to watch on the road than last season, if not as successful.

Only 4 defeats in the games against the top seven is pretty good.
The problem has been in not dealing with the rest of the division and possibly bears out RW’s comments about some of the players thinking that they are better than they actually are.

I like RW, good luck with the squad building, he’ll need it.
Will getting business done early be seen as sign of intent?
If it means that the top targets have been landed then yes, but it never works out that way.

The fans need a team that they can be proud of again and will raise their own game accordingly (and it needs raising).

Anyway enough of this bollocks, here’s some more with the random end of season away travel awards.

Best piss up.
Newport.

Hall of Fame.
Bury and Tranmere, but the win at M K was very satisfying.

Hall of Shame.
Stevenage.

The Daniel Boateng award for loanee of the year goes to Elijah Adebayo.
Thanks for making me smile, if not for all of the right reasons.

The don’t stand too close to the jet powered taps in the toilet award goes to.
Carlisle.

The is it even worth trying to get to this ground anymore award is won by Colchester.

The chavdom is alive and well prize goes to Mansfield.

The don’t get relegated from League 1 until we get promoted award goes to Scunthorpe.

Worst public transport provider.
Cross “this train is formed of not enough carriages” Country.

Worst journey.
Carlisle (numb bum).
The mass of humanity squeezed onto the 18:01 Gulag transport from Cheltenham tomorrow should be fun.
The drunken rugger buggers seem to an extra carriage after games in Glawster. We won’t.

Tomorrow will be a good day.

Every time we play there - and lose - I say it will be the last time I ever watch us as Whaddon Road (or whatever monstrosity of a name it now has) Needless to say I will be there tomorrow. 2-1 Swindon backed by 1100 happy away fans

Thanks for your work WB... the updates on Wetherspoons pubs, through the dank days of Nov-Feb, a highlight.

I'm hoping Scunny have a renaissance, not a great road trip, and can only guess at the horrors of the chuffer.

Interestingly as things stand, if Orient go up direct of the rest of the Conference PO's only Wrexham are a traditional league side... so chance of a new ground. Hopefully not Salford.

A point or better tomorrow and we take the Wilts/Glos/Somerset mini league... ave it.

Looking at the BBC page how does the PO system work as this seems to suggest two tiers of PO?

Good stuff.

On a selfish (or in the case of Fylde Shellfish)  level Fylde, Salford or Harrogate would do nicely.

Talking of play-offs this has been bothering me for a while if Mansfield & Franchise make it to the play-off final I'm torn as to who I would support ??!! as I dislike Mansfield due to their manager and dislike MK for being a football club thief

I have a similar dilemma when watching, for example, Man Utd v Bournemouth, Villa v Brum/WBA/Wolves.

The kind of games where you’d like both teams to lose. It’s so much easier when it’s the piss stains.

As Reg knows, I hate Flitcroft with a passion, to a point of blindness, but that is a no brainer.  Mansfield to win 6-0

To see Franchise only get play offs with 82 points and then lose in the semi-final to 7th placed would make me a very happy football fan.

Flyde and Salford would probably outspend us, much to Reg's chagrin.

Fylde is a tidy little ground, new build and small capacity of 6k but nice.

3 stands when I went there not sure if they have built the 4th yet.

The owner has a lot of spare cash and is investing it into the team and ground.

There isn't a place called Fylde...more an area.... the FC was formed in 1988 from amalgamating KIrkham Town and Wesham.... the club is in Wesham, never heard of either until 5 mins ago... so now want them up.
