Tempered somewhat by the initial prognosis being an ACL.

I eagerly await the unfounded rumours and/or conspiracy theories.

Shame about Doughty just as he has hit some great form, we missed him on Saturday as our creative outlet.

Could be back just in time for the play offs Wink

Exeter at Lincoln tonight... if you take the line that we're still going for a PO spot, then we need a Lincoln win. That would leave Exeter, FGR, and ColU on 54, from 34. FGR are wobbling a bit atm and we could claw back ColU in Saturday's big match.

Clutching at straws somewhat, but it's got to be better than having Prem B teams in Div 4.

Yep, a Lincoln win definitely needed - means we're within 4 points of 3 potentially faltering sides if we win our game in hand.

And it's fun to clutch at straws. Not clutching at straws as a football fan is boring.

True... especially for us lower league types.

Akinde again - the sort of striker that would do us good.

We could not have afforded the (rising to 250k+) £150k+ transfer fee or the alleged £5k a week wages.

That was Akinde's 2nd in 11, he takes their pens but has scored the same as Doughty, a midfelder. difference being its taken JA 33 games to do that against 23 for MD.

Had JA started for us this season say in place of Bayo, it probably wouldn't have made too much difference. Lincoln have been in the auto slots all season, because they've a strong squad, which spreads the goals around and are hard to beat.

Further they have that ability to grind out a point against the odds, or get a winner with a late goal.

We're not quite there.... something acknowledged by Wellens..

Quote
“If we want to be in the play-offs – which I don’t think we are ready for at this moment in time – but if we want to get there, we have got 13 games to make up seven points with a game in hand.

Personally, as far as Div 4 goes, I don't want the PO's..... I'd much rather next season mount a proper campaign for autos.

Wellens will have had a decent chunk of time to look at the squad, see what he wants to keep, and then a pre season etc  to get fitness and style of play sorted, and more importantly the mentality required to win games at the CG.

I think Theo Robinson offers more than Akinde, personally.
