Quick one for those who might be ITK. My missus has recently done one of these online checks where companies try to find out if you have had PPI (she never did it previously as she was not aware that she ever had, but thought what the hell now) anyway long story short its come back suggesting that she might have it on 4 things...all Santander from 2000-2003.

Now she has never banked with Santander, and a quick check suggests that they only started in the UK in around 2010, so any suggestions WTF these might be, our only thought is store cards but how the hell is she supposed to work that out?

Did she have any accounts with Alliance and Leicester, Bradford and Bingley or Abbey(National)?
They all became part of Santander.

They may have taken over responsibility for something in 2004 that relates to a previous credit provider.

I found this if its any help:

This might give some more detail - although Batch might have beaten me to it. It looks like they've been in the uk since 2004.

If you do submit a claim, do it direct with Santander....quite simple and no commission to pay and quite quick too.....we got some money back on a House of Frazer card.
