Taylor isn't close to being our best player, as I'm sure you're aware.

In my opinion he is.... perhaps most influential might be a better description, but amounts to the same thing.

It's why he was voted PotY by Town fans last season and why he's only missed the one  league game this term due to suspension, the highest appearance number of any Town player

I'm not moaning at them Batch. I'm just pointing out how pathetic the behaviour is of some. Some who should be old enough to control themselves. The perspective being that our own lives/choices etc have far more impact on us than the Town making the 3rd Rnd of the F.A Cup. End of the day, although it is part of our life all we're doing is paying for an entertainment service. Not many will like that but in essence it has no direct impact on our lives. We shake it off and carry on.

62 years old 52 years a fan I'm not going to be told by any whippersnapper that I'm being pathetic for being embarrassed and angry. Its not "losing your shit" and anyway I don't think anyone on here is guilty of that.

Can we just thank Josh Casey for making the defeat sound less worse than it was.

Quote
Woking defender Josh Casey says Swindon's decision not to field a full strength side in their second-round tie gave them "extra motivation".

The National League South side pulled off the shock of the round with a 1-0 win over the League Two outfit.

"We thought we could get a result and then when we saw their teamsheet it kind of annoyed us a little bit," Casey told BBC Surrey.

"It wasn't their strongest team and it gave us extra motivation."

You know I'm going to have to verify that with Exiled Bob?  Wink

If you'd read my previous reply on here, I mentioned it wasn't necessarily people on here "losing their shit" or behaving like children. The very fact you're getting a little angry about it only shows up one thing. You're usually more controlled than that Adje.

We have only got to the 3rd Round 5 times in the last 20 attempts. Surely with all your years of watching the Town you should have known this was a 1:4 chance of happening again. Considering the last time came in 2012 (PdC; we beat Wigan in R3) now means it was a 1:8 chance. There's always next year.

Think we had this one last year, and the answer seemed to be yes.... something to do with round 2 games being given a number after the R3 entrants had been listed.

Yes. For this round, the Prem and Championship clubs get Nos 1 to 44 alphabetically and the Round 2 winners then get 45 to 64 in the order their matches fell in the draw for Round 2. So we would have had the number that Woking had.

Shame really, as Watford were our most played opponent up until relatively recently, but like many others have left us well behind...

The cup game of 92 was a goody....

That would have been a great tie. What a completely useless bunch of pricks for missing out.....

Power will be gutted, a missed opportunity to rub shoulders with a Pozzo or 2.
