This shit storm belongs to Brown. It’s his unbalanced recruitment that has caused this mess.
It’s difficult to make a coherent team out of this squad.
100% this. We do not have the players to play any type of system at all and people like Anderson just do not fit into any sort of formation. 442 - no width or forwards 532 - no forwards or wing backs 433 - no focal point up front |

Wellens stated post match that there isn’t a single wing back at the club - then why play that formation for fuck sake. Yes, the squad is unbalanced but we have the personnel to set up in formations other than 3-5-2.
I’m struggling to recall a more ineffective winger than McGlashan in recent years. I disagree with those who say he is a typical lower league winger, as even they produce something out of nothing once in a while - McGlashan does not.
Fair play to the crowd for not properly turning on the players - most other clubs supporters would be far less forgiving.

You can't expect Wellens to do anything in a week. And I say that as someone who doesn't think its a great appointment.
First half you could see what he was trying to do. And it worked for a bit. Good pressing. Got in behind, but same old story - no shots from it. Then Iandolo makes a mistake, they score. We have a chance to equalise from a free kick, Iandolo screws wide from about 5 yards. But at least he was better than Alzate.
Second half, early GOAL POWERED IN AFTER A HEADED KNOCK BACK, kills the game. A FREE KICK AND 1 more follow. All good finishes too. And we are as bad as we have ever been.
Only thing I would say is Welllens could have changed it a bit earlier.
These are worrying times. A team that can concede but can't score is headed 1 way. January will have to be a blinder, but who are we going to attract when so lowley. I fear we will be banking on a lucky loan or Wellens to call in a favour to get us out of this mess.

January is going to be massive for this season.
We need two forwards one of those being a target man and send Adebayo back to Fulham.
Two wingers
A CB and LB
Once Doughty and Dave are back fit we should be okay in midfield
