Someone with as credible a recent history as Hurst or Ardley shouldn't be hell bent on taking the first job that crops up, within days of being sacked. They're bound to have enough credibility to be offered something by a more stable lower league club during the coming months.

I suppose one way of looking at the Notts job is that there's plenty of scope for improvement, but history suggests that unless said improvement is immediate they'll pull the trigger again.

Recently WB pointed out that Cheltnumb away is our penultimate game.... perhaps an even more terrifying thought is that Notts is our last game.
