We very badly need a defensive midfielder, exactly the role Toums plays. We look fairly good attcking but there is no protection for the defence in midfield.

Massive holes in midfield unfortunately as we attack in numbers, Smith, Alzate, Anderson and Doughty all much better going forward than defending and MK are exploiting that with their passes.

Vigs Kicking has been aimless so far.
All of out passing from defence has been aimless today, Nelson, Lancashire and Vigs all poor passing long, Richards has barely won 1 long ball. Another good passing move ended by a poor Taylor shot. |

I like Smith, hes a good box to box midfielder but he isnt a defensive midfielder and looks lost at times knowing what his role is. Richards also looks lost in his role.
Its difficult to play as a team when 2 players are not suited to play the way they have been asked, not to their strengths.
