If I get a contact for Jimmy and he's willing to participate then I will pester him relentlessly!

Podcast has had a lot of good stuff happening behind-the-scenes at the moment.

There will be other types of epsiodes popping up before the season is out.

Cheers

About half way through this, great listen as always and confirms what an incredibly nice guy Chris is and how dedicated to the club he was. A dedication not always properly repaid, sadly

Chris is an amazing chap and I don’t know how he finds the time given the amount of stuff he does.

Every one of these I’ve listened to is wonderful. Out of interest, where exactly does the “come on you reds” sound bite come from? It sends shivers down my spine and transports me back to my happiest days!

Thanks!

That particular COYR is from the League Cup game versus Blackburn in ‘95.

Was that the game we quickly went 2-0 up, only to be undone by Shearer and Sutton with the result ending up 2-3?

Certainly was. Bodin missed a late penalty too.

Massive crowd under lights. We looked like world beaters as we put the champions to the sword...for 26 minutes! Blackburn had a proper team out that night, too. Cheers.

good game that, one of  many against higher league opposition where you think we more than matched them for most of the game, but that moment of an extra bit of quality/speed of thought showed.

iirc the away leg didn't go as well

We were awesome that night.

Then Shearer realised Blackburn were in trouble & started to play a bit. Arguably the best striker in the world at that point in time.
