My first game of the season so looking forward to seeing the new recruits.

Richards could be back in the squad today after recovering from shoulder surgery quicker than expected.
James Dunne also available for selection.

In the last eight games against Tranmere, we've won 7 and drawn 1 and have won the last 5.

No doubt Paul Mullin will score against us today but I expect a hard fought 2-1 victory in front of 6,700 fans.

I’m also going today and quite looking forward to it.

I think Tranmere are pretty dangerous up front but have issues at the back with injuries a plenty so hopefully we can take advantage of that. Tranmere boast Olly Banks and Paul Mullin and their fans have been very impressed with Banks so far this season.

I’m going for an entertaining 2-2 draw. Taylor and Adebayo and Banks and Norwood for them.

Big spending Notts County got thumped 4-0 at home to Yeovil last night. It's still a bit silly season so very hard to predict.

2-2.

Tranmere have plenty of attacking threat, having re-signed pacy winger Mottley-Henry on loan from Barnsley, with Norwood, Jennings and Banks also likely to start. Mullin will be a sub. Will be more of a test than Macclesfield and Forest Green so the defence better not make any further cock-ups. Cant see Taylor starting at left back in a 4 otherwise he will be targeted. Have a feeling we may play 3-5-2 with Knoyle and Mcgleshan as wing backs, Taylor and Anderson rested, Dunne as advanced  midfield and Doughty pushed up with Adebayo.

Vigs, Nelson, Conroy, Lancashire, Knoyle, Mcgleshan, Toums, Smith, Dunne, Doughty and Adebayo
Subs McCormick, Romanski, Taylor, McCourt, Azate, Anderson, Richards,

If Richards plays I think we will win, if not we probably won’t score (unless we get a penalty) and will probably lose 1-0.

Seems mad that we are relying on the fitness of a 36 year old striker.
Either that or Adebayo needs a Fjortoft type turn around in form (hopefully before January)

Looking forward to an entertaining game.

Whether it will be a frustrating one in the end is the $64k question

this.

The good news is I've got family commitments so won't be going today. So it's sure to be nailed on the former.

We need to see some signs of progress today... keeping a clean sheet and someone scoring from open play other than Doughty.  PB made the point that going a goal up might help...

I fear that our defence will let us down again, but hope I'm, wrong. 2-2.

Romanski centre back then? Not he's anywhere near ready for that. Our back line looks even more horrific today.
