According to a Lincoln fan on Twitter:-

‘That's the best 30 minutes of football @LincolnCity_FC have played under DC’

So hopefully they drop off and we can get back into it in the second half.

Well, in order of shockingly bad:

1) Anderson
2) Taylor
3) Pitch

Taylor would be number one but for the fact Anderson conceded the penalty.

Came more into the game in the last 10 mins of the half, but we need to sort ourselves out.  We look ok on the ball through the midfield, but the defenders seem completely at a loss how to cope with their forward line and as a result are in panic mode too often.

Only a goal in it though, get on the ball a bit more, see if Lincoln begin thinking about keeping what they have.

edit: might need to switch Taylor and Anderson around if it wasn't him that gave it away - he's been useless when we have the ball though.

Poor 1st half performance probably didn't deserve the goal, quite lucky penalty hit someones hand from a shot from Taylor but it was struck so hard it could have hot anything.

When we keep the ball down and pass we looks a good side but we hoof it to Adebayo too often.

Akinde still looks like carthorse outside of the box.

Lincoln have changed their style to counter us, and in the main its worked, but they still hoof it forward when they can for the pace of Anderson (theirs not ours) and rely on him.

Lincoln are a bunch of dirty bastards, leaving the foot in and kicking us at every chance they get, lucky not to have more players injured. They can't cope with McGlashan when he has the ball, Alzate has been poor as has Doughty....until the last 5 mins.

Why do we keep kicking it long for Adebayo as thats playing into their hands, get the ball down and run at them, they have little pace at the back.

Oh and Taylor is a mile off the pace, he can't keep up with Anderson who has run him ragged.

We’ve not played well, but are somehow still in it.

Taylor is being constantly exposed by the ball in behind him, he just doesn’t have the pace without some cover and they are exploiting that.

We will need to improve second half to get anything.

Oh, and surprise surprise the Ref is shite (even though he gave us a dodgy pen)

Fucking hell they mush have seen a lot of shit then. They have been workmanlike but not good, we have made them look better than they are.

As good as Taylor was last season (in comparison to everyone else), he got done for pace regularly.  It’s too be expected given his age, but ai can’t help but wonder whether it will be more of an issue this season as he’s another year older and slower.

We need to take either Conroy or Lancashire off as neither have won hardly a single header yet, and they have missed a coupld this half already again. Nelson at least will put himself in there and mix it.
