How, exactly? For not wanting England to do well at a World Cup?

I see no issues with Freddy not wanting England to win. It’s the same as most of the fans on here not wanting Oxford to win any of their games. He supports a national team and didn’t want England to win. I bet when Oxford got relegated to conference most tbe people who are bashing Freddy were posting their joy of Oxford misfortune.

You didn't want England to win either, what do you think is going to happen.

All I am saying is that is from your posts it appears that if someone is happy England didn’t win a game of football then he is a dick. Yet if someone wants Oxford to lose a game of football then they are not a dick. There is no logic to your argument.

I thought we did pretty well overall. Went back to being the usual England 2nd half. Anyways.. 2 points i noted. If Trippier (I think) hadn't pushed the Croatia player in the back on the flick on header for the 2nd, the chance wouldn't have occurred. Fine margins and all that.
Secondly I think Southgate screwed up with the subs, Should have done the 3 before 90 mins for tactical reasons, we would have had another to use in extra time if thought through properly.  (although i'm not conveying that well)

Ultimately a lack of big game experience undid us, plus Croatia were pretty good.

Overall 7/10 for the 3/4  weeks, which is far better than our usual 2 or 3 out of 10 for big tournaments.

On the plus side I wont have to hear 3 lions for another couple of years..

Well at least we have another League 2 campaign to look forward to. The joys of being an English, Swindon fan....

Aren’t we all a lucky bunch.

Exactly... this campaign which has exceeded expectations is icing on the cake, the real business starts in a little over 3 weeks. I'm hoping that STFC can emulate England, and exceed expectations... we'll soon be able to have the fun of TEFers expressing what their expectations might be.

Oh well, knighthoods on hold.
A great effort overall but a sense of big opportunity missed.

Kane played too deep to no great effect.
Golden trophy is more important than the golden boot. Pass it.

Dele Alli didn't do enough to get the deli alley at Spurs new ground named after him.

Hope Croatia can go on and win against France.
Whoever collaborates best as a team will do it.

If it wasn't for the introduction of under 23 teams in the jpt this wouldn't have been possible.

Better team won.

It hurts but we'll be back, this squad has rekindled my love for the National Team.. brighter things are ahead.

They did us proud.

A few things I don't understand:

The 'size of the country' argument. You don't need to be from a big country to be good at football..

Throwing a pint when you celebrate.. I get the emotions are high, but it makes you look like a cunt. A beer wasting cunt.

The "not supporting home nations" argument. When Wales advanced further than England in the Euros, I was rooting for them.. I don't see Wales and Scotland as enemies, rather.. I see them as neighbours.. yep, Oxford/City/Rovers etc are all Swindon's neighbours, but that's a totally different thing (to me, anyway).

Unfortunately, there were two defining moments in that game. Had Kane squared it to sterling for 2-0
It would have been a different story.
Then what was stones doing for Croatias 2nd. He fell asleep.

Wales are no more our rival than Oldham are rivals with Man United.

Another top class striker and a holding midfield player is what England are missing to just make that difference. Credit where it's due, they are so much more refreshing to see.
