Ha. I think it's the relief at the end.
Agree. Painful following England.

If Sterling is an international footballer, then my dreams of being the worlds best pole dancer are intact.

I agree. Pointless waste of a shirt. Lingard and Alli weren't up to much either.

yep, Rashford should have started

Completely ageee about the first point. Second one, well, I’m sure you know the answer to that.

Dump Sterling in the Volga and get Rashford and Loftus-Cheek into the side.

Who makes the decision as to whether the VAR is used? Is it the referee?  Two blatant penalties and it wasn't used.

Started well and then went off the boil.  Tunisia clearly happy with a point, but I always felt we would score again though and up popped Harry Kane.

Rashford to start instead of Sterling on Sunday and I'd like to see Loftus-Cheek start as well.

VAR is used all the time. If the people in the VAR office see something they alert the ref. Not sure how though.

We looked Williamsesque for most of the game and our finishing looked rushed.

I thought the exact same thing at times in the 2nd half. Again, though, I think that's because we were playing a team with 11 men behind the ball (in the 2nd half). We looked more potent going forward in the 1st half, albeit with the wasteful finishing. Hopefully nerves will settle in that regard.

That was hard to watch mainly due to Tunisia doing everything they could simply to stop us winning. Don't remember them doing anything second half which I found strange since they looked a decent passing side at times in the first. Still they nearly got their point.

This World Cup has got 'played well but exited in the quarters due to controversial circumstances/penalties' written all over it. Loving the tournament though.

I like Southgate''s England. Never thought I'd type that when he was first appointed.

For tonight’s game, they were releasing a homing pigeon each time.  The three of them should be arriving at the stadium in about four hours time.

That was a decent showing by our lads.... that's what the fans want to see a bit of effort, and looking like they care.

5 mins in and already 2 'fucking hells' at Sterling.....

Just got in from the pub and agree entirely. If he were never to pull on an England shirt again it would be too soon.

Not convinced that Southgate has the necessary awareness of how to change the game either as it was crying out for a different approach after thirty minutes.

I'm framing that and sticking it in the first town match day thread  Smiley
