Ahoy

I need to get my car serviced. It’s only a year old from new (contract hire jobby) - it’s really just a tick box exercise so that I don’t get fined. Any recommendations for decent local (to Swindon) garages that won’t charge an arm and a leg and won’t try and tell me the wheels are falling off

Thank you

What car is it? Check the T&C's of your contract to ensure they don't require manufacturers servicing.

Peugeot 108, sans lipstick holder

I’ve rang the finance company and they said it can be done at any RAC approved garage

I think it was RAC approved she said. She deffo said it doesn’t need to be manufacturers garage (though that’s what I’ll probably go with unless told otherwise)

FWIW, I found Fish Brothers Skoda have been excellent. I think they have the Peugeot dealership too but I guess that doesn't automatically translate over.

Pricey v non-franchise dealer, obviously, but fixed price service + courtesy car for £10 for the day (+ fuel).

The only RAC approved place I know of and have used many years ago, would be cross st garage.

I use Advanced Cars in Station Road industrial estate. The owner regularly talks me out of spending extra money with him.
