I think PV mentioned the new NORN fella nearly gave away a penalty with his first touch.

Didn’t that Murray fella do just that on the telly v Posh a while back?
Not that long ago only last season Wink

Indeed. Think he said it twice. Nice to hear him praise this victory as Matt Taylor's doing. Can take that comment however but Marc Richards also attributed Taylor too. The fact the players response is also praising others in the squad in fair detail too. Things look good. Much emphasis on playing players to their strengths and in the correct positions. That comment is coming out a lot now DF has gone. We said, the right tweaking and this team could go on a run.

Big game against Exeter next week. Shame away numbers are so limited.

We currently sit on 11 wins with 4 away games left.

The weird thing about this season, is that we've already scored more goals on the road than any Div 4 season, and quite possibly any season ever, certainly more than Mcmahon's season or even 68/69.

Whereas the goals against at the CG column if not quite yet in the worst ever category, but certainly the worst in Div 4, with power to add before season's end.

We scored 40 goals in the 86-87 promotion season from Div 3, so nearly there, 2 goals to go.

I make it we're on 35....  that 86/87 was another 11 win season.

My mistake I read the amount of goals as prior to today not including today.

Easily done.... it's certainly been an odd season.

It has been odd to say the least, home and away form doing pretty much a straight swap.

I saw that Harry Smith said good things about Taylor on twitter too. Whether it’s because he’s a nice guy, or has what it takes to be a coach (or both) who knows. It has crossed my mind that Brown is here until the end of the season and whatever happens, Taylor could have it next year.

Great result ! I wasn’t expecting g that ! Pleased for Mullin to get the opportunity straight away as I think Flitcroft has treated him poorly (selection wise !) Looking forward to Exeter even if it is only a few of us. Play offs still a good chance, even autos ? COYR still in there 👍

I think he could make a great coach already. That's a decent theory though, maybe Brown is giving Taylor a fast track apprenticeship in Management. I know that may seem unlikely but if Brown does well he will undoubtedly have some offers on the table and will be free to choose them if he wishes (an example might be Birmingham City if they go down). So at least Taylor would be more prepared to step in again. It's mere speculation right now but it will be interesting to see how it all pans out season end and into the season break. That's where the hard work is done.
