Note that the question of the poll ends with: "If the poor run continues".

Well done for knowing that they've all changed their mind... on 2nd Jan

Here's a sample from a couple of weeks

Game over now.  Utterly pathetic. Flitcroft needs to go, but I fear we're stuck with him.

I'd get rid of him, as I would have done since about 10 games in to be honest.

Fcuk off Flitcroft

The manager has to go ffs

I voted yes, and I haven't changed my mind.  I'm not sure I am a majority though Reg.

What about the posts praising him since 2nd Jan?

Yeah let’s ignore those

I’d put my left bollock on a poll now resulting in your assertion most fans want him gone being convincingly incorrect

I can’t be arsed to look back but I know there are plenty because I seen them with my own eyes in the past month or so

Silly bastards. Fancy overreacting after a couple of defeats.

On a totally unrelated note here’s a quote from you, also inside the last 2 months:

we need to start paying a bit of heed to what is happening below us, rather than worrying too much about those above.

What like this one from last week....

Flitcroft is not for me.  Now Jan has passed I'd give him the rest of the season but even if he take us up automatically I'd part company in the summer.

Tbf to most of us on here the dreadful home performances of a few weeks ago was enough to drive anyone insane.

We wouldn’t be fans if we weren’t fucking fickle!

Absolutely... going into the Crewe game on the back of a poor trot, a win for them would have seen them 6 behind us... now given they've been a struggler for the last couple of seasons, and are now 3 points off the drop zone, not the sort of company you want to keep. Happily we did pay heed, beat Crewe and so halted the slide.

In mid-December, you were implying that we might be relegated.

By mid-February, without having torn up any trees (in the meantime our results have included our heaviest home defeat of the century) we are in a position whereby we could lose all of our remaining 14 games and comfortably stay up.

Right, if we had lost to Crewe, then lost again to Crewe, etc etc, we might be near the bottom of the table. But instead, to give your example, we were 3 up in 20 minutes at Gresty Road. Why’s that then? Because, even without our new signings, we were a substantially better team than them.

Which is why any rational person could always take it as a given that we were going to finish much, much higher up the table.

I didn't say that. I just called you out for your familiar habit of claiming to know the mind of the majority when you patently don't. Any more than I, or anyone else, does. A lot can change in 6 weeks and a lot has.

sorry ferret, we weren't substantially better than them even with the new signings.

I don't think Crew will ever be the yardstick to judge our prospects on.

I’ve changed my mind not just on improved results. I had Flitcroft down as a one dimensional hoofballing Neanderthal. Since signing Banks and getting Elsnik back we are playing a more balanced game.

My problem with him was that even if he got us up we would be in for more of the same next season. It appears, at the moment anyway, that with better players available to him he can tone down the howitzer approach.
