Coming from 3.1 down last Saturday to win 4.3 and now winning a game we were losing and down to 10 men. Fuck the style and the tactics, how can people not find this exciting/enjoyable?

(Even if we lose, which we definitely could).

Well, that was entertaining #stfc . Can't see it being a 0-0 second half. Going to be very very hard to keep this lead but you can't fault effort

One hell of a game and I’m only listening! Would be tempted to bring on Iandolo for Anderson as a more orthodox left midfielder to give the Full back more cover.

We should go all out and get a third then soak the fuckers up and play rthem at their own game for the rest of the half (kick lumps out of them etc.). Play percentage counter attack and bring Woolery on. Let him and Elsnik have free reign to run at them on the break. Well that's what i'd do.  Pint

It’ll be exhausting trying to hold onto this. Better use the subs well.

I can see what you are saying there.

I wouldn't though, I am not sure Iandolo is right in this type of battle and I'm not sure our best tactic is to sit back.

Anderson is offering no cover at all for Taylor but hes been making some good runs, we seem to be a flexible 441/351 at the moment with Gordon pushing forwards, he may decide on putting a more defensive player like Dunne on instead of Anderson/or if we stay 441 then Gordon may go off.

True but adrenaline is a great thing. If they keep being dirty that'll keep the blood flowing. However if their manager calms things down and recognises they have to get more technical/clinical then we could be in trouble. We can counter it though by playing them how they played us in the first half. Basically kick the shit out of them. Game will get slower. Pitch is going to get heavier/cut up. Soggy old winters tie. Going to be an interesting 2nd half!

What an odd half.  Lincoln allowed it to be fat too stretched giving us the two opportunities, both taken well.  Richards is a pretty good player for this level.  Thought it was a red, he should have more trust in the keeper and just apply pressure, not dive in.  New boy is a big presence, no idea yet on ability.  It is terrible in terms of quality but actually a bit compelling for a change.  Not sure if we will hold on and win or get spanked, either is likely I think, but you can’t fault the effort.  So far the difference seems to be us having to play on the counter, where we have looked a little more dangerous this season and structure went out the window.

I hate us sitting back but it seems to be the Flitcroft way when we are ahead lately, we need steel as Lincoln are a hard/dirty side who will run and run. We will tire with 10 men.

I love away days like this, everything seems to be against you but somehow you overcome the odds.

Mind you, there’s still 45 mins left for that to change.

Whatever happens in the second half we’ve done well to get back in the game, let alone get in front.

Oh and have some long range shots, their keeper can't handle anything from outside the box, hes a flapper.

One thing's for sure...we've had teams in the not too distant past that would have folded under these circumstances
