As a lurker on this site for many years I probably moved over when MOS went to shit.

Living away from Swindon I still find this site the best way of keeping up to date with things.

Bring back the STFC Fanny Forum I say - Some very funny banter back in the day.

At current rate it would take me about another 70 years to reach 30,000 posts.  No

Occasional dabbler on thisis. Relative novice on here.

Just out of interest what was the site that used to have a picture of Melinda Messenger on the home page?
Late 90's maybe.

April 13th 2006 apparently.

I did used to Lurk on MOS to see what Leroy and Riddle used to get up to (subway sandwiches mainly).

FWIW I still enjoy coming on here, there is a good mix of football and non-football chat and some great characters. I’ve made the conscious decision to come off Facebook this year as I see it as a total waste of my time and so will probably be on here a bit more often.

I joined around April 05, i believe the site started around December 04. It shows i joined in April 06 but that was when the changes were made; so everyone who was on the site before this date had to re-register.

Also 13 April 2006 which seems either very coincidental or suggests something happened on that date to possibly revert accounts to that date....

I think that is the case as that's when it says I registered. However looking at my first post it was in Dec 2004

2008, I guess I was a late starter.  I came across from another forum, myonlyswindon I think, when it supposedly closed down?

Arrived as a refugee from myonlyswindon, don't think I ever used the thisisstfc site, but what was the original forum in the mid 90's called as I frequented that when I was a student?

First post was in March 2006 apparently, so something fishly happened in that April?

To answer my second question regarding the 90's forum, I contributed to this which was on that forum but cannot remember what it was called?

J1mmy.

Mickey could be quite amusing.

J1mmy used to join the TEF and get banned every 5 minutes when it was relatively new

I think I've been on every Town forum going... This is, MOS, The Loud & Proud one, Vital... I joined this one as soon as it opened, although I did take a little break a few years ago.

Joined TEF when it was first launched under my old username.

I think I was only on Thisis for a little while before the TEF exodus.

Time keeps on slipping!

Beat you by a month.  My first post on Feb 14th 2006 in the matchday thread for a 1-0 win vs Gillingham.

My current disguise doesn't go back that far and I'm unsure of exactly when I first landed here, but I've either lurked or been very active (depending on politics at the club at the time) in several guises.

This and the old Adver site were great places to be during the Blatchley / Donegan / Devlin / Diamond Mike era - hilarious at times.

There was also a Yahoo email list donkeys years ago which preceded the BB format (Donkey will no doubt remember that) which was really busy and included the likes of Townfish, Millom etc, so with that history, aside from my current persona, I guess I'm a bit of an old git town fan nowadays.
