Are they being phased out throughout the country on A & B roads, or is it just a Cumbria thing, they seem to have become virtually non-existent up here over the last couple of years?

Connected to the above, having thought the headlights were a bit shit on checking when we got home the dip has gone on one bulb which explains it, anyone changed them on a 08 Polo, I imagine they are an absolute wanker to get at!

A bugbear of mine. Our roads are shite, I commute along an alleged A road. Virtually no cats eyes, white lines are basically tarmac coloured lines and no lines on the verge side of the road. It's bloody dangerous imo.
