Dear Jamie,

Thank you for contacting iFollow Support.

Currently you are unable to watch and listen to commentary at the same time.

The product was never designed to work that way although you may have been able to do it in the past.

As per terms and condition you can not log in to two different locations or devices at the same time and this includes two tabs.

Regards,
Muhammad, iFollow Support

So, it's not currently broken, it's designed to be shit.

Fuck you.

eh? Seriously? You're not supposed to be able to watch and listen to commentary? What the actual fuck? They have managed to reproduce the early years of cinema for the internet age

Yep.

They have the facility to do it. We know that, because they were doing it. Video + commentary, pretty much standard for the 21st century, and for much of the previous century for that matter.

But nope. It's one or the other. Video OR comms. They've not even given an offer to pay extra to have both. While that would give us an opportunity for a whinge about capitalism, it would still make sense but, nope. Not even that.

I can't say I am actually surprised by that.

The service has always been shit so why should that be different now.

Not like fans of clubs actually want to hear a commentary is it, bad show even if the quality in the main of the video service is very good.

We do have the option of listening to commentary only? Which would make it no different to last season really.

However, the fact that they are doing this for no apparent reason other than wanting to be awkward makes me reluctant to hand over my money. That in addition to the quality of 'entertainment' being so poor, although they're not to be blamed for that. Plus the fact that the last time I did pay, I only got about 30 minutes of service.

TLDR: Lloyds charge about 60p in extras when I make an ifollow single match pass purchase. Found a better solution below.
==============
I'm now using a Revolut card to pay for any matches I watch while 'traveling' in USA. works fine.

What's a revolut card? A prepay card that you load with as much or little cash as you want from your bank account.

What's so good about it? 1.No international processing fees. 2.Interbank exchange rates used. 3.You can also convert balances to another currency at any time, so if (for e.g.) the Euro is at a good rate you can convert £ to Euro for future use. Purchases are made in local currency balance first, then home currency, then anything you have left

How much does it cost? Nothing for a virtual card (displays in app, password protected). There are monthly transaction limits. You can pay to go premium to increase these limits, but the limit is well within what I'd spend.
Physical card costs something lie £5 but I caught a £0 offer!

Catch? The spending limits. Also there are a few bad reviews about transferring money out again. But I tend to put small amounts on that I can cope with if I don't use it.
It seems to work OK as a pre-pay card (used in outlet, ifollow and a tour company so far). Intend using it in Rome - we'll see how that goes!

As much as this is stupid, it comes down to rights and distribution I'd imagine. Comms coming from local radio, video coming from FL. To sync and offer as one product live from two different content owners for every game would be hard and ROI low.

To block two tabs on one machine simultaneously as a workaround is really stupid though.

Yeah I had noticed that my 6 euro purchase is the equivalent to £5.25 but my bank charges me £6.60 for the purchase.

Interesting find.

Paid £4.98 all in from $7 USD purchase (£1=£1.4063) last time.

Should mention I've only used the Android app for all this. Its OK after 5 minutes of "where was that again"..
