Just watched an entertaining game as our U18's progressed into the next round by beating Newport 6-2. Easy win you might think, anything but for a while as Town played with ten men for over 70 minutes after the ref decided a rather rash tackle deserved a straight red whereas a yellow would have done had the Newport player not writhed around in apparent agony/simulation as he was perfectly ok a minute later.

A couple of great strikes in the game (Ollie Rejek's stood out) and some good football played by Alan McLaughlins team, not sure if anyone will make the step up to the first team but was impressed with the way they played.

Crowd of 251, and home to Northampton in the 2nd round. The big boys join in round 3.

Teams, scorers etc on the wonderful Tony Kempster non-league website.
