A good mate of mine leads the Swindon Samaritans and they are competing for a small amount of funding. Please could we use the power of the Townend to boost their votes.

It takes less than a minute to register and each person has 10 votes to use

Thanks in advance to anyone that votes

Great post. The ACF could be a handy application for my project. I'll check out your friends.

Thanks Kev, it certainly is a great little initiative, but the voting is always close for the winners so anyone else that can register and vote for this particular project will be greatly appreciated.

A good deed may result in a good cup run starting next week!

Samaritans is a great service nationally and does so much. We need places like this to continue to be a service provision for anyone who needs it. Big respect to your mate. I'm starting mine from the very bottom and I know how much of a struggle (sadly) it is to get any kind of funding for mental health based initiatives. This is why these private funds can be a lifeline even if we would like some more kind of funding security. I will get there though. I'll be voting for your mates branch anyway Smiley

Will vote and pass it on, I volunteered for the Samaritans for a while and the job they do is invaluable.
What you're doing sounds really interesting bamboo, I've put a few pennies in (or I will do when my wifi works Smiley)

Is there any charity in the UK that hasn't applied to the Aviva Community Fund, its understandable that you get 10 votes as this is about the 20th group I have been asked to vote for....   Huh?

Had some 3rd party dealings with the Samaritans and they are great so will get a vote.
