How many of the EU 27 can we tick off in our history?

Struggling to think of a Croatian player for starters

I think the list might be it, but didn't really research it closely just off the top of head stuff.

I seem to recall watching a Swede play for te reserves in the early 00's, but name escapes me for now.

Don't forget the Danish pig farmer.

Edit: oops, missed him right at the bottom.

Good shout.

Brez goes in.

As far as Farr goes 4D, I'm not sure how he qualifies, but he seems too English for this. TME already in.

But we've now got a bona fide German.

Apparently according to THE Swindon web site we have had players of these European nationalities play for the Town. This list included non EU members and Jersey.

France
Italy
Netherlands
Czech Republic
Malta
Portugal
Spain
Belgium
Denmark
Estonia
Finland
Germany
Hungary
Jersey
Norway
Poland
Slovakia
Cyprus

Not sure if THAT concise but its a decent start.

You really had to dig deep to find Nick Nagy, two appearances in 1951!

Enjoy the diversity of the footballing gene pool while it lasts I guess.
Wonder how many of the above would get in under a points system as "skilled professionals".  Smiley

Next step would be a listing of the countries outside Europe that have been represented in a town shirt.

Probably too late to ever see a Brazilian in the ranks I suspect.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
