I'm not going to the game but I am starting the thread anyway. I think we'll probably win 2-1 and mentions of a shaky defence will dominate post match posts. Our goals will both be headers from balls delivered by Hussey.

I don't know anything about Exeter but I think they like rugby there and flammableBen lived there or something

Im going.  And Im quite looking forward to it.  So no doubt Ill be disappointed.

Taking my eldest daughter (13).  Glad to see they are now offering reduced priced for teenager.  £6 for her.  Well done to the club for that.

We'll win 7 nil.

It's good to have football back at the CG... it's what it's for. It's also bizarrely exciting that the present management want to be (a) not easy to beat and (b) field players whose first priority is to try and win games. Refreshing

Anticipation - haven't felt that for a while. Looking at the ticket map there should be a stonking crowd (relatively speaking), just hope it's no damp squib.

Looking forward to seeing Usain Bolt up top and a few in the Merlin. I'll plump for 3-0 as the Flitcroft bandwagon picks up steam.

Get it up!

I'm taking my stepdaughter, who said the team was lazy last season, but this new team seems to work hard and want to go forward more.  Looking forward to it.

Exeter* will come and have a go I would imagine making it an open, attacking game.

A Smith brace, another from Mullin and a debut goal from Woolery give Town a 4-2 win in front of an 8,000ish crowd and the feel good factor continues unabated.

Please let it be so...

*Exeter City - Ooh! Shaun Taylor's first league club...

Got it all wrong with the Carlisle match, so going for a 1-1 draw with several penalty appeals turned down and them equalising from the spot in the 86th minute.

3 points please, with Woolery showing why we paid so much for him. No pressure, kid.

My first game of the season, feeling positive about it, and looking forward to a match unlike the last two seasons, i predict a 3-1 win.

Probably the last game for our nosferatu support who have latched onto the club for the last couple of years.
(Very few crosses and little if any threat from any of them).
They sit in the shady bit of the Arkells apparently.

Hopefully the sarcastic "Yessss Anton!!" group have moved on from the DRS, until they find another victim that is.

Should be a good turnout from the Sexy Exe army so hopefully a good atmosphere as well.
No extra points for a smartly turned out manager though.

Will be good to hear that positive background buzz or vibe from the crowd again, after the game, if we win.
Too much disappointment & resignation writ large on supporters faces for too long now.
if nothing else it shows that this shit still matters to a lot of people.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
Crap!
