3 wins out of 4.
9 points from 12.
Up to 10th in League.
4 points from Play-offs.
1 point ahead last season/same stage.

Gives us hope for the new year!

well, decent yeh, but colchester did ruined it and we should have gained 12, but i did expect us to beat bradford away, gives us a chance v wednesday.

I've only managed to witness one of the 4 games but 9 points from 12 is decent, especially considering how we were playing just before christmas.

Its just frustrating that we're still getting these shocking perfomances (colchester, Notts C quite a few others), for no real reason every 3/4 games.

I think we can make the play offs still, but we'll need luck to be on our side

Bit harsh mate - a win at Bradford is certainly not something I'd have expected!

It's a very good haul especially as even sane people were saying they didn't know where our next win was coming from 4 games ago and we have 3 already since then.  Cheesy  Cheesy

Hull got a maximum, Sheff Wed got 3 wins and a draw, and then our 3 wins from four were the top three holiday hauls in our league..

So given injuries and suspensions etc,  we have to pleased with that.

This time last season, of course, was the start of the run that basically got us into the play-offs -- hopefully the haul will help do the same this term.

There were less games in the last Christmas period, but we recorded:
Rushden away: Lost
Brighton home: Won
Bournemouth home: Won
Sheff Wed away: Draw  (although that was Jan 10)

So for the same amount of games, we managed less points.

odays result (which most of us were expecting to loose) sort of makes up for the previous game which we should have won, but it's wierd how we seem to play crap against crap teams, then go and play well in the tougher games

There is an element of pattern in this.....insofar as teams like Brentford are poor away but good at home and teams like ColU and Bradford are good away and bad at home.

Sheff Wed have been bad at home and good away, but have started to turn this around largely because Sturrock has got in a couple of loans including the boy Jones from Soton who's scored something like 6 in 5.
