As it says on the tin. I'm currently working as an IT contractor, looking to move away from the very expensive turnkey accountants I used when I first set up to something a bit cheaper. It's pretty straightforward stuff - I'm not Starbucks! -  looking for an (ideally local) accountant that can take it on. I know we've got a few accountants on here, although I appreciate there's about 57 different flavours of accountancy and this might not be your specialism but any recommendations for a decent local accountant that doesn't charge the earth for annual returns, bit of advice and automated payroll? Not local to Swindon, but I use Keith Hall at Cardens in Brighton. He's excellent, and I had a turd of an accountant before...

We've got a few filthy contractors at work currently, scum of the earth.

I'll see if they have any suggestions for you.

Paul, I know a local firm that I can highly recommend. They're very good with contractors and IR35. Not the cheapest, but sometimes you get what you pay for.

PM me your number and I can get them to give you a call if you'd like.

Cheers all, blimey I'm swimming in accountants now. I'll start going through these and will hold some kind of X-Factor style audition process for the accountants. Not looking forward to the swimwear round Smiley

Seriously, thanks for all the recommendations, much appreciated.
