My fondest memory of Viveash at Swindon was him standing with the Town fans in the play-off game at the Withdean.

It's about the only good memory of that night too.

If it is him hopefully he remembers what it took Macari to get out of the fourth division, a team that was first of all fit, and (certainly from the outside looking in) a squad that was united.

Chelsea technical director quoted as saying

'We wish Adi all the best for the next stage of his career'

Sounds like Adi has something lined up as opposed to a change Chelsea wanted to make.

I'm listing pros and cons based on observations of what Town fans want.

Adi Viveash

Pros
- Swindon boy
- Educated under Macari, Ardiles and Hoddle
- Tonnes of Football League experience
- Plenty of contacts

Cons
- Not a Town 'hero'
- Some won't know that he played for Swindon
- Played for OXFORD - BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
- Encourages the continuation of the current 'philosophy'
- It's Adi Viveash

Imagine if his (potential) first game in charge was as bad as the poor guys debut?

Not a Town hero is putting it politely.

Can't say I have much opinion on this. If we were the appoint him the proof of the pudding would be in the eating.

Does he think the 'development' philosophy and style will work in L2, if he does we are buggered before we start.

If he wants to (...is allowed to?) have in part the 'development' philosphy mixed in with some, want of a better term 'traditional lower league' philosophy we could be onto a winner.

On twitter.

Michael Beale was Liverpool coach who has since gone to Sao Paolo. Did read somewhere Viveash was linked to the Man Utd youth job also

Not good if he is appointed.

Shows we are sticking with the failed youth model.

If this is the case we will get mullered by other league 2 players

Find it amusing that Adver headline refers to him as a former "Swindon Town ace".  That's not how I remember him.

I knew we could count on you to give him a chance.

I remember when Town trained amongst the dog shit on the CG Extension... Adi had a broken leg, and was a sort of wandering about with the other lads, trying at least to be involved, poor sod had this compression pump clamped on his leg.

I thought, he'll never play again, but he did... which says something about his character.

All I really remember about Adi's Swindon career was his debut against Middlesborough a few days before his 21st birthday.

Coming on and playing left wing/midfield a role totally unsuited to him, and being a sub that was subbed after just 20 mins in a poor 3-1 home defeat.

Not even going to give him a chance whatsoever?

Sadly this will be the same mindset of many so whomever takes over will be on a hiding to nothing.
