The policy could work, if for no other reason than to bring a halt to the crazy property price surges you see - nobody will want their house to go up in value if their taxes go up at the same rate.

Rather depends how much it is updated, house prices have gone through the roof since most Council Tax banding decisions were taken, but the bills haven't changed much. Plus in terms of development land value uplifts it often gets covered off by the CGT or corporation tax regimes already.

Should go like it does over here, % annual charge of property value - think they update every so often, but it seems to prevent huge surges outside of massive metropolitan areas.

They reset the value every time a house changes hands as well, and use the latest value.  3% here in Georgia, imagine that rate in the South East f the UK!

Corbyn has nothing to lose. He's growing in popularity despite the media and fleet Street campaign against him whilst May is on the slide. He's taking a gamble and why not? Could go in his favour.

I'm in the mindset that I've never felt more certain about voting labour. Don't know about anyone else but Corbyn grows on me more and more by the day. May appalls me more and more by the day. Hiding from the public and debate despite calling this election.

Its actually gone in completely opposite direction the Tories expected (whoop!)

At the start loads of people were saying that they would not vote for Corbyn, because of him, now there are more an more people saying that they will vote for Corbyn, because of her....

As for the evening good luck to him, although the BBC will no doubt treat it like some manner of memory contest and try and trip him up. The fact that the Tories are sending Amber Rudd just illustrates how shit they are, as she is as crap at answering questions as May is. Don't know if I can be arsed to watch but we will see.

So, the woman who's only real reason for saying she should be PM is that she's the only person strong enough to negotiate Brexit with the EU wants us to believe she's tough enough for that but bottles out a TV debate with the bloke she reckons would be useless? Not exactly convincing is it?

Saying she won't do the TV debates as she's concentrating on brexit was cringingly brilliant. As was yesterday when she said imagine Corbyn naked. People in glass houses and all that. She's so bad when put on the spot. *Strong and stable" fucking big soapy tit wank

Debate on BBC1 now. I wonder which one will annoy me most. Smart money is on Nuttall but I don't expect better from him, so it may be an upset win.

Edit: Almost feeling sorry for Amber Rudd, she's here entirely to get a kicking with a brief to try to avoid becoming an internet meme at best. Her boss owes her one.

Fairly sure whoever put this crowd together is going to get a kicking on the press tomorrow, they're not exactly sounding totally representative at the moment.

Yup, can't imagine many undecided voters came away from that feeling like it had helped. Seven voices is too many, especially as most people can't even vote for two of them.

No real knock out blows or memorable moments, Farron's line at the end about bake off made me laugh but he'd been peripheral until then. Doubt May will suffer too much for staying away.
