UKIP are a symptom. Until the mainstream political parties address the issues that make UKIP appeal to a substantial part of the electorate, those problems will not go away.

To be fair Bluekip are having a darn good go as per Mrs May and Rudds conference speeches...

. It was widely described by both the IRA leadership and, later, British politicians as "the best recruiting sergeant the IRA ever had"

I thought that was Jeremy Corbyn - according to the Sun, and via a known fantasist within the IRA....

Can someone summarise the UKIP manifesto like all the others, I have scan read it so far and generally seems to be along the lines of them stopping and solving everything that the Mail and Express say is wrong with the UK.

You're being far too simplistic as usual.  It's the Mail, Express and the Star

Definitely still going, think it's part of the dirty Desmond stable. When I commuted into Manchester every morning a suited very respectable guy always used to buy the star and times each day tits and respectability!

That's not addressing the root causes, that's pandering to the symptoms and the worst instincts of their own hard right factions.

Had a closer look at the ukip manifesto, delighted to see them opening the door and explicitly providing the mechanism for a second EU referendum, common sense finally prevails.

Q.  Is Corbyn right that embarking on foreign military adventures with simplistic goals to remove dictators without thinking through what you put in their place creates a power vacuum that causes untold misery for the people of that country and on balance is more likely than not to encourage Uk-based terrorism?
A.  Yes

Q.  Will the right-wing media provide an in depth analysis of that viewpoint or instead gleefully go for a "Corbyn undermines our lads in the armed forces and supports terrorists" headline?
A.  Oooh, tough one.

Q.  Will the average British swing voter read and consider Corbyn's speech in detail or simply glance at a lurid headline and make a snap judgement?
A.  Ooh, even tougher.

Q  Is it a good idea for Corbyn to make such a speech 2 weeks before a general election or instead should he stick to expressing the outrage and sympathy for the victims that he feels (like all of us) in order to increase his chances of leading the next government when he would actually be able to determine those military decisions in future?
A.  Depends on your point of view I guess.

So Mrs May's lead is cut to 5 points in the polls now which would give her a working majority of 2, things are getting very interesting (and highly amusing!)

I don't believe it in the slightest, although the fact it comes via the notoriously Tory biased YouGov will be setting some alarm bells ringing in Blukip HQ which is pleasing whatever the true position.
