Two weeks ago I would have said No without any hesitation.

But the bastards have given is hope by winning the last two games against teams fighting for promotion.

It's the hope that kills you, you know

Bollocks, I just assumed he'd be available for Charlton. Isn't he back there before we play them and eligible to play for them?

Assumption...the mother of all F$&l Ups!!!

Not unless the recall him from his loan ahead of time (if the deal in place allows them to do that)

They can't recall him, if he's on a standard loan:
Quote
   any recall clause requiring the early termination of a Standard Loan can only be included in a full Season Standard Loan and this can only be activated during the second (January) Transfer Window;
...
 any other early termination of a Standard Loan must be by way of a mutual agreement in writing (including by way of a recall clause within the Standard Loan Agreement) between the Transferor Club, the Transferee Club and the Player but can only be completed after the expiry of 28 days and only during a Transfer Window (but subject to Regulation 53.1.4 below);

53.1.4 is not Applicable:
Quote
53.1.4 A Player whose Standard Loan expires (or terminates) at the end of the Season of the Transferee Club but prior to the completion of the League Matches of his Transferor Club (where it is a Member Club) will not be eligible to play in any remaining League Matches for the Transferor Club in that Season;

two weeks ago I'd have answered a hard no, but there's just the faintest spark of a fight in the team this past couple of games... I'm sure they'll fuck it up soon enough though. Still think we're down.

Let it be "third time lucky", after the abrupt halts that followed our two previous "two wins in a row" sequences this season.  As already widely and wisely commented, it is now a case of one game at a time.

This sums it up quite nicely for me.

It's the hope that get's you, like a few weeks ago when we had the mini winning run and we thought it might be possible then they go on a losing run - sadly this lot have shown they cant fight when the game needs it so in answer to the question.....
