only that recall was agreed following the change in manager.. most odd.

2-2

edit: had a quick look on the pikeynet  forum, missed the the discussing his recall but did find one they had been discussing JET in saying he was lazy.

presume the manager sent him back for lack of effort/attitude then.. his goal ratio looked ok to me.

Win tonight and we may get out of this relegation battle, lose and we are down.

Gills are now on a run of just 1 defeat in the last 8 games, ironically that was away at Coventry. Although they have only win once in that run with 6 draws in their last game vs Southend.

I will be happy with a draw to keep building up a run ourselves.

We havent beaten them for 9 games home and away with 4 draws and 4 defeats in that run.

At the CG they are unbeaten in the last 3 games with 2 wins and a draw but going back a bit further over the last 20 games they have only beaten us 3 times in 20 games with with us winning 11 times, 6 draws and just 3 defeats.

Good mates with a Gills fan who claims they have been absolute dog shit recently. Hopefully our lads have a bit of confidence from Saturday and get the job done.

Feel the power of positivity building up again to guide us to victory.

2-1 Ajose Town End double. Ince to dominate the midfield.

Praying Jones is fit and we retain the back 4. If so, and Ince is fit enough to perform for 90 mins - if so backing the home win, 2-1.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a change or 2 following Saturday on a mud pile - Goddard for Brophy maybe.

think that change would be a mistake as brophy has offered pace that worries a dodgy defence

Isn't it typical that we have a game so soon after a decent win....therefore can't enjoy it for the full week. I suppose strange things do sometimes happen, but we haven't won back to back all season, so seems little logical reason why it should change now.

In the early part of the season, Embers was lamenting the difficulty in playing 2 games in a week, so that when we got down to one by being knocked out of the cups early doors, and the fixture list taking winter into account...he suggested things should improve...we got worse.

We had an unchanged side for 2 games in a row, I daresay this game coming so soon after Saturday will see 1 or 2 out injured.

At least the whole false rivalry thing with the Gills has been binned off.

if we don't win tonight then that will be 3 consecutive (completely in season) calendar months without a home win.  Not sure when we last did that, not even in 93/94. Fifties I'd have thought.
