Isn't it  Hmmm

Drama in This Country through a sort of media mafia is ruled by the public school elite.... wasn't always thus, but sadly is now....

for these people sneering at the plebs, is what they're brought up to do.

It does sound good. Must give it a watch.

I'm not very good with 'cringe' humour like The Office or Alan Partridge, I literally can't watch it anymore - is this similar?

Yep, saw that.

Don't get me wrong I'm all for young talent coming through, after all in a post Brexit Britain, we're not going to be making much from nuts and bolts to sell to the rest of the world, so it needs to be creative stuff.... TV, fashion, music, art, drama, design, sports, games etc.

It's ironic that the lurch to the right politically means capital wishes to control the means of production in these fields hence stifling talent that isn't easily sellable.

It's nicked the mockumentary format that The Office was built on, just like People Just Do Nothing does. The chap even looks and sounds like Gareth.

Pretty similar but a different setting.

It's a bit cringe for me. But as a Purton boy, a lot of the references and observations are very relatable, and all the funnier for it. Reg is over thinking it.

I love PJDN. I think it had just enough pathos to get away with the main character's obvious Brentness.

If it has potential to have a go at the Tories then Reg would overthink Peppa Pig

Good to see that the Coopers went to Deer Park rather than Rendcomb....there's hope yet. Although Rendcomb are in the process of building a new Performing Arts facility. From a Swindon perspective kids here probably think Deer Park is a fee paying school.

Is Purton like that, never actually been there but recently discovered that I have a sister buried in the church yard so should really try to get down there next time I visit the shire....

As another Purtonian, I probably need to watch this to see whether it rings true or not.
