Someone in the facebook group has started a thread about favourite cheeses. They're not all bad.
there are people in that group that are ok, its just the constant "POWER OUT" from quite a few people which i understand but its just quite repetitive and brings the conversation level down to Donald Trump levels....

If you can't laugh at them then what can you do? It's laugh or despair.

I'd say this whole thread is an arrogant snide dig from someone with an unwarranted sense of superiority who can't take a bit of his own. Which is why I called it out in the first place. We all talk bollocks at times, that's in the TEF slogan, so if the OP is going to get all fucking smug about his own superiority to the opinions of others, he'd be well advised not to spend the rest of the evening being a complete fucking plank. In my opinion.

A prerequisite of valid opinion is that it is grounded in reason. I'd say some of the shit on that group lacks that basic premise. And of course, as we know, not all opinions are equal. So yes, laugh. Laugh away.

Snobbery wasn't intended, the things some people say just amuse me, #1 definitely....... they are so far out of reality e.g.

Quote
he didnt want to spend to keep them or replace them in championship so got the coaches etc to change things to make us a laughing stock at wembley

Can you really say that isn't hilarious that they think someone didn't want to pay money out for promotion so they deliberately got the coaches to play like shit so they don't?  Roll Eyes

Hmmm. I'm not sure with further humiliation on the cards tomorrow that you should be highlighting the link between snobbery and Cobblers.

I quote....

Quote
Snob is an old word in English for "a cobbler, a person who makes or repairs shoes." Cobblers came to be thought of as representative of all of the working-class or lower-class people. In time the name snob came to be applied to the lower classes as distinguished from the nobility, the landowners, and the rich merchants. From its being used for any member of the lower class, snob soon came to mean "a person who pretends to be a member of a higher class, one who imitates the clothing, speech, and manners of the nobility." Nowadays the word means "anyone who acts as if he or she were better than others."

Apparently, the use of the snob for cobbler as I do, is a largely southern thing.

Can I suggest something to put this thread back on track? Virtually anything a fan says can be made funny with double-google-translate®. You just input some PaulD bollocks, choose an exotic language, preferably outside the Indo-European family but in this case Kurdish, then copy the result and translate back into English. Guaranteed moderate smirking:

I say, this entire thread, or dig Snider proud man with a sense of unwarranted superiority that can take some of their own. Therefore, I name in the first place. We all talk bollocks in the period, which is the slogan tambourine, so that if the OP all the fucking Labrador is dominant on their own for the opinions of others, he would be well advised not apply for other evening a complete plank fucking. In my opinion./quote]
