Cynical 'yes man' digs aside, I'll be fascinated to find out who'll replace him. I'm still thinking someone along the lines of Adi Viveash.

Alan Mcloughlin?

I don't buy into the rumours that STFC managers will have to work under some kind of dictatorship under Power. Ling had plenty of good things to say about Power and said it's nothing like what some suggest. Some might say 'he would say that', but for me it holds more value than something some bloke said on the internet.

2 of Lingy's previous clubs managed. Orient, just heading for the Conference, Torquay just about hanging on by a thread in the Conference. Coincidence  Hmmm

Seems to me that Power's reaction to losing a mill will be to trim budgets accordingly, therefore I'd say it means Luke is more likely to be kept.

Alan Mac is a youth coach, and should stay there. Dave Hockaday is the sort of realistic cheap option that maybe could provide some nous.

Viveash is a great option but he's got a pretty good gig at Chelsea. Still, the lure of senior management?

What's even funnier is on the FB group, is that the few keep saying no manager would come to STFC as they wouldn't want to work under Power. Who in their right mind would turn down a job paying a minimum £100k a year when they are unemployed? Unless you're Jose Mourinho with millions in your bank, the majority of managers can't be picky about who they work for.

My view is that last season and maybe under Cooper's tenure Power controlled large parts of the club as he was always there but since Sherwood came in, he seems to have taken a back step and given more control to Williams / Sherwood e.g. Williams now tries lots of variations of the formations, before we were pretty static and always played the same way.
