Looks likely that divisional moany rivals Peterborough are close to selling top scorer Ivan Toney to Brentford or Celtic in a £9m deal rising to £15m with add ons.

No L1 striker is worth that kind of money but it does show that if DJ progresses well next season then that could be target value we will be aiming for.

When he leaves it will obviously weaken the Posh but I expect they will reinvest a large percentage of it on another young upcoming striker, swings and roundabouts I guess.

I see Cambridge have signed Wes Hoolahan. Bloody excellent signing on the face of it.

Peterborough must have a great scouting network as they sell young players most seasons for large sums of money

They can afford to take a lot of gambles on upcoming non league players mostly, it seems to be working financially even if not actually on the pitch as much.

Northampton Centre Back Charlie Goode looks set to sign for QPR to replace the outgoing ex Town defender Grant Hall for £500k. Brentford also watching him.

He looked ok but not worth anywhere near that much IMO, Conroy, Baudry and even REG were better from what I saw. Should weaken Northampton defensively anyway next season.

Brilliant long throw specialist, proved himself in the play offs.
