Oldham are dire aswell. Sheridan will keep them up though!! We'll drop.

That's their 6th or 7th home goal of the season haha

The fortnight elapsed since I last posted on this thread, has probably increased our chances of the drop despite the Bolton result.  Others like Bury, Oldham and Shrews are showing signs of life with new management making an impact. Whereas we haven't as yet strengthened other than Ben Gladwin, and he can't do it on his own.

The main concern is we've a side and management wholly unsuited to a relegation battle....

Yep, a quick comparison with the same stage last season shows us as 6 points and 15 goals (scored) worse off.  In the remaining games last season, we benefited from Ajose's 11 goals (plus 5 from Doughty) to get us out of trouble.  There is nobody in the current squad capable of scoring enough goals to do what's needed this time, though.

An interesting comparison is with 05/06...we're a point better off at the same stage. Then our 28th game we pasted Bormuff 4-2, Cureton scoring on his return from loan. We then had a decent trot of home wins with Cureton getting a further 6 in the final 18. However the sale of Rory Fallon to Swansea on this day 11 years ago effectively did for us.

We won 5 drew 5 and lost 8 of those last 18. We are going to need something like 6 wins and 5 draws or 7 wins and 2 draws, difficult to see how that can happen without a goalscorer.
