Depending on your intended audience I'd say it's a decent test. There's quite few which you sort of know, but can't quite get to te required level of detail....like what did the 10 year old muslim write. Possibly phrase it the other way....so say what he wrote and ask for what happened next sort of thing.

He said that he lived in a terrorist (rather than terraced) house.

Requires pretty detailed knowledge, phrasing questions for your audience is a skill.

Maybe something like.... What happened to the 10 year old muslim terraced house dweller after he handed in his homework?

Just makes it that bit easier.

The best question setter I know, is absolutely useless at answering.  Somehow you'd think a good setter would also know stuff but not necessarily.

Lots of very good questions, but generally fiendishly difficult.

Of course that might not be an issue, depending on your work setting / context, but the thought of me taking those questions into work on Monday "guys, guys - a quiz!" makes me think I might not survive to provide the answers.

I do admire your dedication and attention, and probably your optimism too.

I'm happy for it to be difficult to get full marks, as long as half the questions are doable. I'll look at a few of the phrasings as suggested, cheers. Will post answers later if people are finished guessing.

Sign of the state of the TEF that a quiz now gets two entries.

Is football dead, or just comatose?

Morning TEFlets. I've written a quiz of the year type thing for work, and need some people to test drive it and point out all the shit I've inevitably got wrong and which bits are way too hard. So, that means you, you lucky ducks.

Quiz is out of 60, with four questions for each month, the last of which has two parts to make each month worth five points. I've tried to keep it relatively away from all the crushingly depressing shit that's happened this year, so there's a lot of sport.

Answers available once people have stopped guessing, if there are any left.
