Just wondered if anyone would be interested in this before I put it on eBay.

It's a First Day Cover from the Manchester United vs Swindon Town 1993 Premier League game, signed by Alex Ferguson and John Gorman.

Fergie said our midfield ran the show that day.

I was in a box for it, we were very fortunate, considering only about 200 away fans were welcomed to Old Trafford for the match, that a chap I was in a barbershop group with - yeah that's right, I was a tennor in a barbershop group in my early to mid teens - worked for Sharp.  Every couple of years he would be offered a box for a game and that season it very fortunately fell for the visit of STFC so he asked my dad and me to join him.

It was a good experience what with the three course meal and seeing behind the scenes a bit but you cannot beat the 'terraces' on match day.

I spotted Giggs and Ince post match and was on my way to get autographs when I noticed Gorman, Bodin and Taylor to my right and naturally left the Utd pair hanging.  Lost those autographs years ago.

It's really ManUre memorabilia, so think big. Plenty like to collect that shit, to show their credentials.

If it was Town memorabilia, then much more modestly priced.  I've a mate who buys Town stuff on e-bay for very little. Bizarrely he's a Toon fan, but decided that seeing as he lives here, he'd bring his son up as Town fan, and then pass on the collection when he's older. Funny fish eels.

I was at that game, in the Town fans section.  There were a lot more than 200 of us there.  Probably more like 2000.

I was there as well. I believe we had 1,500 tickets.

I've no idea what it's worth in all honesty, so i've listed it on eBay and will see what happens.

I have a few first day covers, to put into context I paid £9 for a Gerry Anderson signed Capt Scarlett set. (nerd alert)

Looking I reckon you priced right. Whats that bollocks though about first ever league meeting? I'm sure I saw us play them in the 70's in the league?

I was at hospital meeting my eldest nephew who had just been born. Popped out to the car to listen to some of the commentary.

Hmm, didn't look like that many and I remember not being able to get tickets despite us being season ticket holders, pre-internet and such it was harder living 60 miles away I suppose.

That is even cooler.

I didn't have a season ticket, but got one for Old Trafford. Can't have been that hard?
