We voted in favour of the changes for this season, the club is actively in support of the format and the opportunity it provides I would have thought.
What opportunity? The opportunity to play in front of even lower crowds than even the old formats managed?

Home to Luton next round.

Amusingly most of the under 23 sides have been drawn against each other

As far as it goes, a decent draw.  Getting someone like Norwich stiffs would have been horrible....getting the piss taken by Louis. Another Div 3 team even worse.  Luton have Sheehan to boo, Jonathan Smith to try and remember, and Scott Cuthbert, all of whom usually turn out for them .

Also been a while since the Hatters visited the CG.

The cash prize (being bigger this time around to get the D teams in, and maybe Wembley I assume.

Are we all still boycotting this tournament or has the lack of footy tested your resolve for tonight's game

Read in the Adver that after tonight's game the draw stops being regionalised.

I've enjoyed the lack of football, watching Town the last 18 months or so has been a bit tortuous, so the break has been welcome....I'm not going to get bothered until Saturday.

Raised a small smile at the blurb on the official site about tonight's game -

Luke Williams’ side know a victory would prolong their stay in the competition but a defeat in normal time or via a penalty shootout would send them out of it.

This bit especially in case, I guess, any novices to knock out competition weren't aware how it worked.

That said, the ludicrous rules in the group stage, it wouldn't be beyond the realms of stupidity that if we lose the match we progress into some kind of shield tournament with Premier League under 16 sides.

can only speak for myself, but not going to a game in this 'competition'.

Shame as Luton would have been good. Also can't make Fleetwood game, so that's a bloody long time without football.

Will Randall played for Wolves last night, as their U 23's  defeated the might of Sunderland's U 23's 1-1, in front of 1,115 at Molineux.

Quite surprised the crowd was that large. Hopefully Town v Luton, won't be so attractive.
