Pre match optimism surrounded by beer at Olympia.
Not too fussed about the result, but leaving with a sense that this team might have something about them would be good.
Always a good away day at QPR. For some reason the 4-0 in 2001 springs to mind. Sabin & Invincible couldn't trap a bag of cement that night. Was on the way back to the tube station when the 4th one went in.
Whatever happened to the Benetton guy who used to own the club. Described the ticket price rises as paying for "boutique" football.
Flavio Briatore, think dodgy practices final caught up with him....at one point the R's were supposed to be the wealthiest club in the world, with a consortium of Briatore, Lakhsmi Mittal and Bernie Ecclestone in charge. I wonder if the new Duke of Westminster is a closet Town fan

I wonder if the new Duke of Westminster is a closet Town fan Picking up £9 billion at 25 isn't too bad. Chester fans might have some hope at least. Sadly, don't think that an unremarkable (to non supporters) league 1 football club would make it onto the Grosvenor family list of worthy philanthropic causes.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change? Crap!

Many moons ago, I used to spend a lot of time in and around Chester. Based in Handbridge....as a walker the obvious routes were due south into empty space, trouble was it was only empty because it was mostly Grosvenor Estate, so no footpaths. There was a bit of decent territory up around th Peckforton Hills otherwise off to the Clwyds, a bit of a trek by road, but Moel Fammau and Moel Arthur made it worth it.

Every fucking thread Reg. Seriously.
Can we just have a "Reg's tangents" thread where you can put it random useless knowledge you've obtained from your years of travelling / researching / whatever.

No start for Goddard either Let's see what Norris is made of! I'd like to see Brophy get a goal.

So would I, as long as it's not with his right foot...
