For obvious reasons, details are unclear at the moment but the military have announced they've seized control. A bit worrying, to put it mildly.

Well, there will be a significant number of British citizens in the country on holiday, is the most basic point. You then have that Turkey is a member of NATO and therefore part of our collective protection agreement, you have the fact that the EU deal regarding Syrian refugees is with Turkey and you have the potential issue that the US supposedly have nukes in the country.

So, potentially, quite a lot.
