Best pub grub i've had around Swindon by miles is at the Falcon at Poulton, been there several times and always had fantastic food, they do a lunch menu with 3 courses for £16. http://www.falconinnpoulton.co.uk/I followed your recommendation when you posted it once before. Been there twice - food is quality and good value |

An in town punt, might be the Los Gatos replacement, Helen Brownings. Not been but there's usually a few in, big on meat.
There's always the Royal Oak at Bishopstone which is also Helen Browning's farm. A regular choice of mine for lunch when dining in the Swindon area. |

Sorry I couldn't respond earlier, but lunch merged into dinner, as we celebrated the simple pleasures of good living and Spring dresses. Neocon capitalism hasn't altogether subjugated France yet. |
