Getting this on the boy's laptop which is running Windows 10.

How can I fix it?

PS Don't have a Windows 10 disk as it was upgraded from Windows 8.

You'll need a startup media, either a DVD or USB.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10ISO

You can then run a restore/repair. If that doesn't work, the HDD is probably toast.

Hope that helps.

The messages change but the end result is always a duff drive.

Thanks chaps. Just found out that the little bugger slammed the laptop down on the floor in a fit of rage, which is what's knackered the HDD I suspect!
