Thought he was a blacksmith rather than a cobbler!

Battle of the Bastards was ruddy good. A bit Saving Private Snow in places, and I mean that as a compliment to the cinematography.

Will discuss the plot after most people are caught up tonight

And all the rest of us have to look forward to is thinking about who is going to die in the season finale and whether it will be a let down after the magnificent 'Battle of the Bastards'

In past seasons, episode 9 has been the cracker and episode 10 has just set up a bunch of cliffhangers for the next season.

That said, Cersei is definitely setting off the wildfire under King's Landing - Tyrion even brought it up this week to make sure the slow viewers at the back understood. Roast sparrow, anyone?

Didn't Tyrion use the wildfire against Stannis's fleet?

He used some, the suggestion is this is a different, older (& less stable) stash

Excellent episode last night. Felt like it needed a 'good' character to go and Rickon has barely featured so it didn't feel that bad losing him but it was enough to provoke old Jonny Snow who seems to be almost superhuman atm.

I feel like we're due some overwhelmingly bad news. Next weeks bumper episode will be interesting, although I think it's more likely to set off some cliffhangers. I'm starting to feel like one more season would do this show fine.

I honestly believe the tv programme will be finished before the book actually appears, worst bit is there's another book to come after that, at least. George R R Martin will die before he finishes the books.
