Who mentioned exciting talents?
I'm just questioning why young players not deemed good enough for us are being signed by clubs higher up the food chain, presumably for money.
Ok promising. Of course it is for money we could be cashing in on someone who may be worth fuckall in 12 months. People need to realise we can't afford to not cash in on these type of players who 'might' be good enough.

Didn't he take a long time to sign his first contract - was it just for a year?
That's what I thought as well. Could it be that he's been looking around for a move himself?

Considering the amount of 'promising' players we've sold in the past before making their first team bows, I can't think of any who've actually made it (Walcott excluded as he was about 10) - Leigh Mills was meant to a certainty to make it and he got nowhere near

Didn't one of our youth players get released a few years ago and end up at Sheff Weds? Again never heard of since!

On a different note, is Tommy Smith still injured/recovering? He certainly looked good enough at Crewe

The list of youngsters sold for good money (£50k+) at Swindon is large considering the size of our club, as you state hardly any have ever made it anywhere else with the only exception being Paul Rideout who was sold for £250k aged 18. Hardly any others even made it onto the bench at their new clubs, Ben Tozer, Leigh Mills, Alex Henshall, Jamie Stephens, Jared Thompson and a few others, admittedly Thompson has not been there long yet.

Have you ever seen Lee Marshall play?
He used to open the batting for my U15s team! He was lighning quick between the wickets and in the field.

Yeah. Mind you I have no idea who Jared Thompson is.
On that basis using the logic of many of our supporters I assume that you think he is brilliant and the saviour of our club....

I think he's a tidy little player.
Apparently he's an arrogant little shite with a bit of an attitude problem though. And that's from someone who knows him well

Nomoreheroes has been on a one man Lee Marshall campaign for some time now, to little effect.
Just cos I know him from youth cricket days. Always hoped that he would do well.

I should have asked: Where is this being reported? Checked the Adver, BBC and Official site but saw nothing.
