Never heard of him... but good luck to the lad!

Sort of reminds me of pitching up at Elm Park, Boxing Day 87. To find some bloke in goal who wasn't Fraser or Nicky Hammond.
Fraser had bust his thumb earlier in the season....Lou obviously didn't fully trust Hammond, so got Tim Flowers in, when his loan ran out, Hammond came back in, but he got injured in training just before Christmas.

As there was no media news because of the hols...had no idea who he was, let alone heard of him. It transpired it was Paul Crichton who Forest had let us have for the emergency....we won 1-0. Hopefully Kean can have a similar impact.

Crichton was still going at 40 and picking up a pay cheque for coaching and bench sitting....goalkeeping can be a very decent career.

So looks like Belford is out for the season. So, this Kean bloke better be good.

I don't understand why Belford 'hid' his injury from the clubs physio's...

We can extend his loan beyond the 7 days, right?

I can. An opportunity for him to establish himself as a first choice 'keeper...

You can kind of see why he's done that but it's a very poor decision.

Oh yeah he's done it for the 'right' reasons, but naivety has played it's part.

Sure I have missed this, is Vigorous also out for the season, if so what is going to change after the 7 days is up?

Probably only allowed a seven-day loan initially as it's a special dispensation type case. Once we've proven we actually need someone for longer I'm sure it'll be extended.

Can kind of see why he's done it but a pretty selfish act in my opinion. Loan window was still open when he started to feel it so could have got someone in for the rest of the season. Now we're reliant on special dispensation to extend Kean's loan otherwise we could have major problems and we all know how much the Football Leage like us.

Or what about Richard Key? He is arguably, in STFC terms the biggest mystery man ever. He played two games for us - a famous 1-0 win over Sheffield W in the Milk Cup as it was then and a 6-1 defeat at Ipswich in the next round. Apparently (and I don't remember this, I only know it because I looked it up on http://www.swindon-town-fc.co.uk/) Scott Endersby was refusing to play for us as he'd got the hump at us signing Kenny Allen who was cup tied (ironically he'd played against us for Torquay.)

No one had heard of Richard Key (no 's') prior to that and he was never heard of again. Strange  Huh?

Ridiculously naive stupid and decision by Belford, irrelevant of his reasons.
