Bristol Rovers have to compete with Lansdown's 'Bristol Sport' model which they are obviously not a pet of. It's a risk that they have to do.

Other than Fulham and Bournemouth when one of these strange foreign takeovers has happened they've generally gone spectacularly wrong. Seems a very odd one but time will tell....

I wouldn't get too excited by Bournemouth, there is still time for it to collapse spectacularly yet, especially when Howe goes....

Is Bristol Sport some manner of Daily Sport spin off for West Country beauties?

I wouldn't call Flint a beauty...

Seriously, Lansdown also owns Brizzle Rugby, who are making a habit of falling at the last hurdle for getting back in the Rugby Prem, under the 'Brizzle Sport' banner.

My initial thought when you said Flint was the lovely Caroline Flint......

Wish it was us to be honest.

Rovers will be in the championship within years if they invest well. Sad

People said this when the Italians arrived at Leyton Orient.

I'm a bit sceptical when it comes to this sort of news.

Fair play to them. Good luck to them.

We had Andrew black, and could have gone far. We didn't.

If we had some Italian in charge, we would be in the championship now.

Jordan is the good guy of the Middle East...letting them have a chunk of Bristol is probably a good move.

 Yes

There's probably a similar hit-rate for foreign owners as foreign players.

The writing was on the wall when they got rid of the dog track at Eastville.

I notice they said it will be an evolution not a revelation so doesn't sound like it'll be the spend stupid amounts approach.
In that case I can see why they weren't interested in us, unless someone spends millions straight away they end up with a Facebook group making up conspiracy theories about them. Patience isn't a virtue of many of our followers....
